Welcome to our session for faculty members, academics and administrative staff interested in knowing about the immigration programs commonly used by academics to live permanently in Canada.

This session covers various permanent residency program options suited to academics at York, and features topics such as Canada’s Express Entry process, the Federal Skilled Worker Class program, the Canadian Experience Class program, under the express entry program.

In this session, you will:

  • Learn about the application process and eligibility requirements.
  • Identify and learn strategies to enhance your Express Entry profile and to enhance your supporting documentation.

Our virtual program is a real-time session, delivered live via Zoom and is immediately followed by an opportunity for interaction, questions, and discussion by live Chat and audio with an immigration subject matter expert and member of the TAD team.

All 2020-21 TAD offerings emphasize University strategic priorities and building core and leadership competencies.

Who Should Attend: This session is for new and recently appointed international faculty members, Postdocs and administrative staff who are considering applying, are already in the early stages of their application or simply wish to understand how immigration factors in to the academic hiring and onboarding process.
