This course focuses on Styles, the most valuable feature you will ever learn in Microsoft Word. Learning how to construct a document with styles will make a dramatic difference in your productivity and in the quality of the documents you produce. Your documents will be professional in appearance, more accessible to people with disabilities, simpler to maintain and update, and easier to edit. We’ll look briefly at some advanced Word features you can exploit once you have a styled document, and provide tips on how to rehabilitate an old, badly-behaved Word document so that you can start to love Word again.

You will learn:

  • How to use styles to create a structured document with headings
  • How to use other repetitive formatting styles
  • How to efficiently redesign documents.

Who Should Attend: This course is for all staff, from those seeking to learn foundational Word skills, to those wishing to build upon existing capabilities. Participants in this course are encouraged to attend Designing Accessible Word Documents (DADOCS) as well.
