This session is designed for all employees with financial responsibility, and focuses on how Finance supports the university's broader mission, what the established financial policies and procedures are, and how to use the financial systems effectively.

In this course, you will have:

• a working knowledge of basic accounting practices;
• an understanding of York University account structure, fund accounting and financial reporting.

Who Should Attend: This course is open to all levels of newly hired and existing York employees. This course provides introductory finance knowledge employees require to understand and deliver on York’s culture, policies and procedures.
